Our goal is to provide a platform to collaborate with charities for fundraising and spreading awareness while offering great, unique, and ethically made products for customers to enjoy. You're always paying it forward when you shop with us and we truly appreciate your support!
The donation is built into the cost of each product – so it is an exact and tangible donation for each item sold.
Some of the causes we've supported: St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, American Red Cross, Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, TEEM Haiti, i'mME, Capital Area Food Bank, Andy Roddick Foundation, Austin Pets Alive, Musicians on Call, White Heart Foundation, and more!
Founder / C.E.O. - Meri Barnes
Meri founded The Shop Forward in 2014 with the simple idea of creating a platform to fundraise for important causes through apparel and accessories sales. Working with different charities has always been a huge part of Meri’s life, and after working for Marc Jacobs in New York City she decided to switch courses a little and combine her love of fashion and philanthropy. In Oct. 2016, she was named to Pepperdine's '40 under 40' list.
Random facts - Meri also started the Ugly Christmas Sweater Kit, can’t get her day started without an unsweetened green iced tea from Starbucks, and is usually freezing. Favorite places = Maui, Haiti, and home (southern CA).
